Carlos was born in 1989 in Murrupula, Mozambique. He came from a broken family and had five older sisters who tragically passed away from unexplained illnesses one by one. After losing her daughters, Carlos’ mom struggled to cope with life and Carlos ended up in the streets. In 2004 Carlos, his sister Alzira, and their little niece moved into the orphanage. Carlos and Alzira were hard working, quiet, loyal, trustworthy, and never complained. They learned about God and accepted Jesus into their lives.
Carlos worked hard in school and improved his Portuguese language skills. In 2010 he finished secondary school and then went through the electrical program at the Young Africa trade school. He became a certified electrician and now works for the company responsible for the electrical work in a Brazilian mining company in Nampula province. Carlos still helps out at the orphanage whenever he’s around and is greatly loved by everyone at Evanjáfrica.
